Barbara and Helmson Boaz’s love story is a testament to God’s providence and perfect timing. Their story began in Florida when Barbara moved to the Tampa Bay area and started attending the same church as Helmson. Through their involvement as members of their church’s youth group and music ministry, as well as being drawn together by shared interests and academic goals, particularly their passion for medicine, they quickly became good friends.
Life eventually took them on separate journeys—Barbara moved to Maryland, while Helmson relocated to Pennsylvania to pursue their respective medical journeys. Despite the distance, they stayed in touch, primarily exchanging study resources to help them through their demanding studies and offering encouragement as they navigated the rigorous demands of their education.
Fate intervened when Helmson was assigned to western Maryland for his clinical internship. As the world grappled with the "new normal" and adjusted to life post-pandemic, Barbara and Helmson found themselves reconnecting. Navigating the challenges of medical school, graduation, new careers, business, and the unexpected storms life brought their way, their bond deepened. What began as a strong friendship blossomed into a beautiful relationship, strengthened by their shared resilience and unwavering support for one another.
Barbara and Helmson are filled with excitement for their upcoming nuptials. They are deeply grateful to celebrate their special day surrounded by the love and support of family and friends.
